Teen Court Session Scheduled
The Henderson County Teen Court and the Community Coalition Partnership of Henderson County will be conducting a session on Saturday, November 1st, about what happens if a driver is arrested for a DUI. Guest speakers include local attorney Sam Smith, a representative from Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Highway Patrolman Josh Jenkins and CCP-HE Coordinator Robert Sullivan. The session is free and parents, adolescents and teens are encouraged to attend. The fun begins at 10 am, in the town council chambers at 202 W Scott St, Athens.
ACPA Wins Swim Meet

On Saturday, Oct. 18, the ACPA girls swim and dive team posted its second straight victory of the season by beating Dallas Bishop Dunne 135 to 125 at the Cain Center. Texas Christian Academy from Waco was third with 99 points and Fort Worth Christian Academy was fourth with 68 points.
The team was led by senior captain KT Hardin with two first place finishes in the 200m Freestyle and 100m Butterfly. Also scoring for the girls was Avery Weinstein with a first place finish in diving; Jamie Boyd with second place finishes in the 200m Individual Medley and the 100m Breaststroke; Mary Cheadle with third place in the 50m Freestyle and second place in the 500m Freestyle; and Caysie Clark with a fifth place finish in the 100m Freestyle and fourth place in the 100m Backstroke.
