Atmos Energy and The Help Center Join Forces To Help Residents Pay Natural Gas Bills

ATHENS – Atmos Energy is teaming up with The Henderson County Help Center, a local nonprofit located in Henderson County, to provide available energy assistance funds to residents in need. These funds provide financial assistance with natural gas utility bills through Atmos Energy’s ‘Sharing the Warmth’ program for qualified customers living in Henderson, as well as surrounding counties, including Anderson and Van Zandt.

— Athens ISD will open at 10 a.m. Buses will run 2 hours late.

— Athens Christian Academy will be closed.

— Athens Christian Preparatory School will be closed.

— Cross Roads ISD will be closed.

— Eustace ISD will be closed.

— LaPoynor ISD will open at 10 a.m.

— Mabank ISD will be closed.

— Martin’s Mill ISD will be closed.

— Murchison ISD will open at 10 a.m.

— Trinidad ISD will be closed.

— TVCC Athens campus will reopen at 6 p.m.

— TVCC Kaufman campus will be closed.

— TVCC Terrell campus will be closed.

— Tyler Junior College will be closed.

— University of Texas at Tyler will be closed.

Business

— Kidz First Day Care will open at 8 a.m. (If Athens ISD closes due to weather, Kidz First will also be closed.)

— Lakeland Medical Associates will open at 10 a.m. Patients should call before going there in case that changes.

— Methodist Children’s Center will open at 9:30 a.m.

— St. Peter Lutheran Preschool in Gun Barrel City will open at 9 a.m. (if Mabank ISD closes we will be closing)

— Tiny Treasures Learning Center will be closing at 5 p.m.
