Larson Overall Winner at Lady Cards Run for Funds

Members of the three-time-defending national champion Lady Cardinals basketball team were on hand for the event, as well as other supporters and runners. Cardinal Pride Luncheon Scheduled Monday

TVCC LogoThe next Cardinal Pride Luncheon of the 2014 fall semester is scheduled Monday at Ol’ West Steak House.

The event will begin at noon and the cost of the meal is $10.

Featured speakers will be all Trinity Valley Community College coaches. They are: Brad Smiley (football), Kris Baumann (men’s basketball), Gerald Ewing (women’s basketball), Tosha Spain (volleyball), Ashley Johnston (softball) and Khris Franklin (cheerleading).

There will be door prizes.

The purpose of the luncheon is to provide Cardinal boosters and fans an opportunity to hear from the coaches and interact with athletic department staff and athletes.

The public is invited to attend.

TVCC Flag Football Champions

FFCHampsThe Mesquite Skeeters won the TVCC Intramural Flag Football Tournament held on Thursday, Oct. 23, on the Athens campus. Four teams competed for the tournament championship. Skeeters team members are Jordan Davis (team captain); Quincy Jackson; Levi McDonald; Quahary Bobbitt; Dominion Brooks; Charles Simpson; Jamarus Banus; Chris Coleman; Michael Lickett; Thad Smith; Quetus Lee; Darian Sargent; and Vincent Bell.

TVCC Inducts 45 Into National Honors Society

Forty-five Trinity Valley Community College students were inducted Sunday into the Iota Alpha chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at the Student Union Ballroom on the Athens campus.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa, a national honors society for two-year colleges, requires a student to achieve a 3.5 GPA, complete any required developmental courses and accumulate at least 12 semester hours of college credit. Membership entitles TVCC students to have the honor noted on their official transcripts and affords them the opportunity to wear the Phi Theta Kappa golden stole, tassel and/or medallion at graduation.
