TVCC offering tuition-free dual credit workforce classes

Trinity Valley Community College is providing an excellent opportunity to serve existing high school students who don’t typically have an interest in pursuing post-secondary academic transfer courses to universities. Beginning with the Fall 2018 semester, high school students may enroll in college credit workforce/career and technology classes with no tuition or student fees.

“Many of these students would benefit from career readiness and industry certification options which public schools are embracing and partnering with TVCC,” said Vice President of Instruction Dr. Wendy Elmore. “TVCC is interested in providing services to these students and specifically enabling area ISDs to provide career and technology education programs that prepare their graduates to enter the workforce upon high school completion.”

Classes eligible for free tuition are those that apply to a workforce certificate and are taught at the high schools by high school faculty qualified to teach college-level courses.
