TVCC Sports Banquet scheduled Tuesday, April 28

The fifth annual TVCC Sports Banquet is scheduled Tuesday, April 28.

The event is set to begin at 6 p.m. at Athens Country Club.

TVCC athletes will be recognized and special awards presented.

The winner of the Cardinal Cup competition will also be announced. Past winners were the cheerleaders, training staff, volleyball team and football team.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $20 and will be available at the door. To purchase or reserve tickets in advance, contact Athletic Coordinator Lucy Strom at 903-675-6359.

Congratulations, Malakoff Baseball District Champions

The Malakoff Tigers clinched the 18-3A district title with an 8-33 victory over West Rusk Monday night. The Tigers stand at 11-1 (district record) with two games remaining in the regular season. (Courtesy photo)

Congratulations, Lady Hornet District Champions!

The Athens Lady Hornets are the District 13-4A co-champions. Athens and Crandall will be playing 6 p.m. Friday at Kemp High School to determine playoff seeding.

Admission will be $4 for adults, $3 for students, and THSCA, TGCA, District, and Senior Citizens passes.

TVCC Volleyball Players Sign Letters of Intent

Annual TVCC Golf Tournament Scheduled Monday, May 18

There are 10,000 extra reasons to participate in the Trinity Valley Community College Foundation Golf Tournament this year.

The 2015 edition of the event, which is scheduled Monday, May 18, at Pinnacle Golf and Boat Club, will feature a $10,000 prize for any hole-in-one on the Par 3, 165-yard seventh hole.

In addition to the $10,000 prize for holes-in-one, all other par 3 holes have ancillary prizes for a hole-in-one, such as a $500 visa card, set of irons and a kindle fire. Continue reading “Annual TVCC Golf Tournament Scheduled Monday, May 18”
