Meth Arrest in Murchison

On February 11, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Deputy Brian Huckabee was dispatched to the Stayaway RV Park on Highway 31 in Murchison in reference to a suspicious person or vehicle. After making contact with a white male identified as Aaron Nuckolls in the parking lot of the RV Park, Deputy Huckabee found Nuckolls to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines. Deputy Huckabee transported Nuckolls to the Henderson County Jail where he was booked in for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 1-4Grams.

Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

Police BeatOn Feb. 10, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy John Daniels conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on a vehicle on State Highway 274 in Seven Points. The vehicle was occupied by two white males and a white female. The female subject gave a false name and date of birth but was later identified as Kari Haywood, age 45. A search of the Haywood’s belongings was conducted and Deputy Daniels found Haywood to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Haywood was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram and transported to the Henderson County Jail.

Two Arrested on Drug Charges After Search

On February 4, Henderson County Narcotic Officers Kay Langford and Brad Beddingfield received probable cause for a search warrant on Veronica Lamb and her residence on County Road 2101 in Henderson County. Narcotic Officer Kay Langford presented a probable cause affidavit to Judge Nancy Perryman. Judge Perryman did find enough probable cause existed and issued a search warrant for this residence.

Henderson County Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse, Lt. David Faught, Narcotic Officers Kay Langford, Brad Beddingfield, Kendell Wellman, Investigator Valentine, Deputies Pochobradsky, Rose, Moulton and Wright from the Henderson County Sheriffs Office executed the search warrant. Warrant Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

On Thursday, February 5, Deputy Josh Rickman with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office was attempting to serve an outstanding warrant on a Krista Lawler of Chandler. Deputy Rickman located Krista Lawler at a gas station located at the corner of FM 3079 and Hwy 315 in Chandler.

Deputy Rickman made contact with Krista and took her into custody for the warrant. During a search, Deputy Rickman located a clear plastic baggie containing a crystal like substance believed to methamphetamine. Krista was transported to the Henderson County Jail. Krista Lawler was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1-1G which is a State Jail Felony Punishable by 2 years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison and a fine up to 5,000.

At the time of the press release Krista Lawler was still in jail waiting to be arraigned.

GBC Baby Safe After Abduction Scare; Police Still Searching For Jimmy Wilson

A 2-month-old Gun Barrel City baby was safe Tuesday evening after an abduction scare.

Police are still searching for 39-year-old Jimmy Wilson, who took the baby from her mother, who is also his girlfriend. GBC Police Chief Damon Boswell said it has not been definitively proven that Wilson is the baby’s father.
