GBC Makes Drug Arrest

UPDATE: Feb. 25, 2:30 p.m. to reflect that Seay was charged with Endangering a Child and that CPS was called in.

On Feb. 20 at approximately 11 p.m., Officer Gabriel Shue of the Gun Barrel City Police Department was dispatched to the area of the Gun Barrel City/Mabank city limits in reference to an unconscious female. Shue located the 22-year-old female, and along with Officer Victor Parras, they aided her until the arrival of EMS.

Upon the female regaining consciousness she made officers aware that her child was with a male subject, later identified as Joshua Seay, 33, of Payne Springs, at the Eagle Inn Hotel in Gun Barrel City. The female stated the male dropped her off and left with the child. After medical personnel transported the female to the hospital, officers proceeded to the Eagle Inn to check the welfare of the 4-year-old child. Continue reading “GBC Makes Drug Arrest”

Two Arrested for Drugs, Warrants

At approximately 11:34 p.m. on Wednseday, Feb. 18, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jeromey Rose was at the intersection of Highway 334 and Highway 274 near Cedar Creek Lake area of Henderson County. Sergeant Rose observed a vehicle travelling south bound on Highway 274 that only had one headlight illuminated. Sergeant Rose identified the driver as Elizabeth Ware and the passenger to be Lornell Johnson Jr. Sergeant Rose discovered that Johnson had two active arrest warrants out of Tool PD and placed him into custody. While conducting the traffic stop Sergeant Rose began searching the vehicle, and located a glass pipe used for smoking cocaine as well as cocaine inside of a Marlboro cellophane wrapper. Ware was also placed into custody for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1G. Ware and Johnson were transported to the Henderson County Jail. Ware was later booked in for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1 Gram a State Jail Felony and Johnson was booked in for the two outstanding warrants out of Tool PD being Failure to Appear/Bail Jumping a Class C Misdemeanor and Driving While License Invalid a Class C Misdemeanor.

Great Texas Warrant Roundup Begins March 7

Representatives of law enforcement agencies and courts from more than 250 jurisdictions across Texas announced today combined efforts to host the 2015 Great Texas Warrant Roundup beginning Saturday, March 7.

The roundup is designed to target thousands of defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants from participating jurisdictions. It is believed to be the largest joint operation of its kind with arrests expected to continue for several days.
Hundreds of thousands of notices were recently mailed statewide by participating entities.
Numerous counties, justices of the peace, constables and municipalities of all sizes will participate in the roundup.

Affected persons are urged to contact the appropriate jurisdiction or jurisdictions during the next two weeks to dispose of their cases voluntarily to avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or work in front of family, friends or co-workers

Suspects Run, But Get Caught in GBC

On February 18, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Captain Bryan Tower and Deputy Brad Beddingfield were traveling on SH 334 near Bonita Point east of Gun Barrel City. They observed a white four door car traveling extremely slowly with its hazard lights on and jerking back and forth on the roadway. The vehicle pulled into the driveway of a private residence and a male subject got out of the vehicle flailing his arms as if he were angry. It appeared the vehicle had been occupied by four people. Captain Tower pulled over to offer assistance and observed the female front passenger to be visibly upset and crying. Methamphetamine Arrest in Frankston

On Tuesday, February 17, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Michael Cheseldine initiated a traffic stop at Anderson County Road 309 and Henderson County Road 4117 in Frankston. During a search of the vehicle, Deputy Cheseldine found a substance believed to be methamphetamines.

James Howard of Frankston was placed into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Howard was booked into the Henderson County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 1 gram, a State Jail Felony.
