Betty Marie Searcy of Athens, Texas passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016. Betty was born to Otis and Marie Larreau near Stamford, Nebraska on January 1, 1923. When she was a small child, her family moved to the Sand Hills where Betty was raised and attended school.
Funeral services for Randy Roberts will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Pastor David Jordan officiating. A private family graveside will be held at a later time. Services are under the direction of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family of Athens.
Mr. Roberts went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Randall Keith Roberts was born on December 12, 1951 in Grand Saline, Texas, son of Artist Hulon Roberts and Lillie Mae Roberts. He graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, loved coaching his daughters in softball, and coaching his grandson in Mabank Little League Football. He was a longtime owner of Creative Graphics Screen Printing and attended Life Fellowship in Athens. Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, sit on the front porch with his wife, play with his grandsons, and most of all spend time with his family and friends. Papa was a great family man and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Tony Don Berry, 54, of Eustace will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Phalba Independent Full Gospel Church. Services are under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Berry went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
Tony Berry was born on November 2, 1961 in Athens, Texas son of Grady Gene Berry and Ruthie Lavonne Gafford Berry. He married the love of his life, Janice Gale Tullos in Athens on October 20, 1990, loved fishing and loved his guns. He attended Phalba Independent Full Gospel Church and was also a member of the Henderson County Police Association. He worked for the Henderson County and Smith County Sheriff’s Department. Tony loved his baby girl. He was a great family man and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Patricia Woodson Melton 76, Athens are scheduled for Tuesday May 31, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at Meredith Campground Cemetery.
Patricia passed away Friday May 27, 2016 in Tyler.

Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden in San Angelo. Services are under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
