Cynthia Gail Eckelberger, 60, of Malakoff passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 in Athens. Cynthia was born Nov. 29, 1952 in Canaveral, Florida to the parents of Billy and Eleanor Blevins.

She worked in a nursing home when she was younger and she also drove a truck and worked in a sewing factory. She was a loving and caring person and took good care of her family.

She leaves behind her mother Eleanor Blevins, a sister Donna Bourque and brother-in-law Lloyd Bourque; brothers Timothy Blevins and Dennis Blevins, sister-in-law Mickey Blevins. She leaves her two daughters Donna Perez and Michelle Eckelberger and her husband Leonard Eckelberger of 22 years and two granddaughters Rebecca Blevins and Sandy Eckelberger. She also leaves behind a number of aunts and uncles.
She is preceded in death by her father Billy Blevins and a brother Kenneth Blevins.

Visitation for Mrs. Eckelberger will be Thursday, Oct. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.

Graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 18, 2 p.m. at Malakoff Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Pitchford officiating.

Obituary: Timothy James Hunt

Timothy James “Tim” Hunt, 51, of Eustace, was born March 28, 1962 to the home of James Hunt and Deloris Gordon Hunt, passed away Oct. 12, 2013 in Tyler.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Amanda Hunt, Kayla Hunt, brother Curtis Hunt, sister Rhonda Williams and her husband Larry, father James Hunt an his wife Ann, grandson Quinton Holloway, numerous other family members and many friends.

There are no funeral arrangements planned at this time.

Obituary: Lloyd Curtis Turner

Lloyd Curtis Turner of Trinidad passed away Oct. 12, 2013 in Temple, Texas at the age of 63.

Lloyd was born on Nov. 21, 1949 to James and Genevieve Lamb Turner in Fresno California.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Patsy Turner, son Allen Dale Turner, daughter, Kelly Renee and husband William Van Dresar, brother, Glenn Turner, sister, Shirley Sanford, grandchildren, Kimberly Williams, Tiffany and Amanda Van Dresar, great-grandchildren Dillan Schlabach, Keyley Duboise, Jackson and Jaedyn Van Dresar and Brantley Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Genevieve Turner, sister, Linda Pruitt.

Service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points. Interment will follow at Mankin Cemetery in Trinidad.

Obituary: Gary Don Rice

Gary Don Rice of Tool, Texas passed away on Oct. 13, 2013 in Gun Barrel City at the age of 59.

Gary was born on March 24, 1954 to Barry Glenmore Rice and Betty Simmons Rice in Hale Center.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Franklin of Abilene, Texas; friend, Beverly Rice; brothers, Danny and James Rice, Charley and Chad Avery; sisters, Evelyn Lloyd, Cindy and Jackie Rice and Dena Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barry and Betty Rice.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Huckabee/Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Zephyr Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas.

Obituary: Margaret Probst Moseley O’Harra

OHarra1Funeral services for Margaret Probst Moseley O’Harra are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16, 1 p.m. at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Bro. Tom Bragdon officiating. Burial will be in Payne Springs Cemetery.

Margaret passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, at Hospice of East Texas.

She was born March 30, 1930 in Gunter, Texas the oldest of seven children born to the late Charlie and Inez Probst. A member of Leagueville Baptist Church, Margaret, enjoyed working in the nursery for many years. Loving, giving, and doing for others brought her great joy.

Margaret was preceded in death by husbands, T.C. Moseley and Chuck O’Harra; a son, Clay Moseley; brothers Charles, Don, Jerry, and Bob Probst.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jerry and Margie Huggins of Brownsboro, Kyle and Sandra Lynch of Owasso, Okla., Dan and Brenda Herrin of Flint; brother, Tommy Probst of Ennis; sister, Shirley Mayfield of Garland; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 5-7 p.m.
