Obituary: Peggy Jean Hall

Peggy Jean Hall, 73, of Athens passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Nashville, AR, on June 6, 1945, to the late Luther and Berna Dean Ray. She married the late George Wayne Hall on February 27, 1965.

Preceded in death by Husband George Hall, her parents Luther & Berna Dean Ray, brother James Ray and her sister Shirley Stanley. Peggy is survived by six daughters, Jane Ciesla of Tampa FL, Sandy Harrington and husband Mike of Ocean Springs, MS, Charlotte Holt, Robin Hall, Debbie Hancock of Athens, TX, Lulu Hoen of Nashville, AR and husband Joe; two sons Micheal Prichard and wife Lynnette of Athens, and Gary Hall and wife Amy of Hilltop Lakes, TX.

Obituary: Paula Ann Faver

It is with great sadness that the family of Paula Ann Faver announces her passing after a long battle with cancer, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the age of 72 years.

Paula will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 50 years, Michael and his children, Martha Porter and Michael Faver Jr. Paula will also be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren, Brandie, Sarah, Madeleine, and Ellie. Paula will be dearly missed by her four great-grandchildren. Paula was predeceased by her brothers Bill Rawson, Tommy Rawson, Henry D. Rawson, Robert Rawson, and sister Martha Chapman.

Obituary: Linda G. Odom

Funeral services for Linda G. Odom, 63, of Athens will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the First Baptist Church Cross Roads under the direction of Bro. Frank Upchurch with burial to follow at Patterson Cemetery in Cross Roads.

After a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, Linda Odom, age 63 of Athens passed away peacefully on August 25, 2018.

She was born September 10, 1954 to Donald R Martin and Wanda Iris (Stewart) Martin in Gueydan, LA. She worked many years in Project Controls for different companies. Brown & Root Inc. 19 yrs., Capstone Building Corp. 9 yrs. And S&B Engineers 12 yrs. before hearing the dreadful words “You have cancer”.

Obituary: Judy Hendricks

Funeral services Judy Hendricks of Bullard are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens with Pastor Ray Baker officiating.

Judy Hendricks passed away on August 19, 2018 in Bullard, Texas.

Judy Lynn Hendricks was born June 17, 1951 in Athens, Texas the daughter of Walter Whit Daniel and Bonnie Mae Bowman Daniel. She was a kind woman who loved taking care of people but also enjoyed giving them a hard time. On her free time she liked to do cross stitch, crossword puzzles and reading. “Granny” cherished her grandkids and she will be missed by all those who got to know her.
