Military News: Ashlynn L. Kinnaird-Lovaas

U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Ashlynn L. Kinnaird-Lovaas recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Kinnaird-Lovaas is the daughter of William Thompson III of Brownsboro, Texas, and Holly Kinnaird of Saint Johns, Fla., and step-daughter of Rebecca Thompson of Brownsboro, Texas. She is also the granddaughter of Richard and Sandy Ritch of Brownsboro, Texas.

Military News: PFC Clint D. Sharp

PFC Clint D. Sharp graduated from Marine boot camp in San Diego, Calif.

Clint is the son of John and Therese Sharp, and the grandson of T. A. and Elizabeth Sharp and Ray and Pat Rogers, all of Athens.

Clint will leave Aug. 11 for combat training at Camp Pendleton in San Diego.

Clint graduated from Athens High School and Trinity Valley Community College, both in 2011.

Military News: Tyrell R. Hall

Air Force Airman Tyrell R. Hall graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hall is the son of Stafford and Bobbie Hall, and cousin of Ladarius Jordan of Athens. He is also the brother of Raaven Hall and Taaron Hall.

He is a 2015 graduate of Athens High School.

Military News: Adrian Booth

navyAdrian Booth graduated from the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command and A School in Great Lakes, Illinois in March. He is now stationed in Yokosuka, Japan where he is on the USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) – is a Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer ship.

Booth is a graduate of the Athens High School Class of 2013. He is the son of James and Elizabeth Bonnette of Athens.

Military News: Blake C. Soukup

Air Force Airman Blake C. Soukup graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Soukup is the son of Katrina Soukup of Athens and grandson of Carolyn Manley of Wills Point.

He is a 2012 graduate of Athens High School.
