Michael,
On behalf of everyone involved in the Henderson County Livestock Show, I’d like to say “Thank you” for the coverage you provided for our event through your Facebook Page, Henderson County Now. As you know, we had a busy but rewarding week and the coverage you provided certainly was a part of our success and very much appreciated.
As soon as we have the final numbers available, I will get them to you but it appears that the total of our Premium Auction, Commercial Heifer Auction, Project Show Sale and scholarships will again total approximately $500,000. It truly was another successful Henderson County Livestock Show.
Thank you again.
Danny Davis
President, HCLS

Danny asked me to post his letter here … but it really is me who should be saying thank you …. the officers and organizers and volunteers and ag teachers out at the HCLS were always so happy to answer my yankee questions … without them, I wouldn’t know the difference between the market swine and the breeding swine (Oops, made that mistake!).
And let’s not gloss by the “again” in the sentence above where Danny tells us that the livestock show raised nearly half a million dollars for local kids. … The HCLS really is THE premier event in the county each year.
I can’t wait to take the Weinstein Law bus out to #HCLS2014 next year.
My only question about the livestock show … Is anyone else still tired?
