For the past seven or eight years, Jerry Rogers (far left) and his wife, Beth (known to many simply as Momma Gran) have supplied a delicious lunch to all the students and workers from across the county who help set up for the HC Livestock Show. “This is a wonderful occasion for kids to do what they like best, even though it’s hard work for them,” said Mrs. Rogers. “We enjoy doing this for such wonderful kids.” Athens High School teacher and Athens FFA sponsor Ward Wilbanks is pictured with the Rogers.
