The Middle School One Act Play students will perform their play for the district competition on Dec. 12 in Eustace. The plays will begin at 1 p.m. and run back to back. Each play will last approximately 40 minutes. Everyone is invited to come out and watch one or all of the plays. There is no admission charge for the district competition.

In addition, the Middle School will be hosting three public performances of the play. The first will be this Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. There will also be a performance on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. and another on Dec. 13 at 7p.m.

Tickets for all public performances are $5 and may be purchased at the door.

The annual Christmas Youth Production begins this Friday at the Henderson County Performing Arts Center. “The Christmas Bus” is a story with humor, the spirit of giving, courage of convictions and funny characters such as Mrs. Frump, The Busybodies, Sheriff Snodgrass and a whole lot of orphans. The show is Rated G for general audiences. It is suitable for children of all ages.

Henderson County Performing Arts has been bringing a youth Christmas production to the community for over 25 years. This year there are 40 high-spirited, energetic kids in the show.

Country Music at Poynor Civic Center

Country Music at Poynor Civic Center is set for Thursday, Dec. 3. Frankston Healthcare Center will furnish food, beginning at 6 p.m. If you are willing and able, please bring a dessert to share. Donations are accepted and will be used to benefit residents of Frankston Healthcare Center. Free admission. Music from 6:30-9 p.m. Open microphone.
