Buddy and the Flashbacks gave a fantastic performance Wednesday, November 2, at the Payne Springs United Methodist Church. Scrumptious food, large crowd, and songs the crowd sang along with: “Save The Last Dance For Me,””Dream Lover,” and Buddy Holly’s songs,”Maybe Baby,” “Peggy Sue,” “Love Potion Number 9,” and several others. Vendor spots available for Brownsboro Pioneer Days

Be part of the Brownsboro Pioneer Days on Saturday, November 12. Vendors’ applications are available for the third annual event. The event is returning to celebrate Brownsboro’s rich history. Vendor applications are available at www.Brownsboro.us. Admission is free and an excellent way to get extra cash for the holiday season!
All activities will take place at the Brownsboro High and Jr High School properties. Brownsboro is the oldest city in Henderson County and is proud of its heritage. The Brownsboro Chamber of Commerce works hard to spotlight the City’s origins but also to host an event that the community can enjoy.
Booth rentals run from $50 to $75. The standard size booth is 12×12 with or without electricity. Booth set up will begin on Friday, November 11, starting at 5 p.m. or Saturday morning starting at 8 a.m.

Getting ready for ‘I Love a Piano’
David Hill, Assistant Director for “I Love a Piano,” rehearses with cast members for the upcoming production at Henderson County Performing Arts Center. The show runs October 13-22 and is sponsored by Cedar Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation. I Love a Piano is a musical revue of the music of Irving Berlin including such favorites as “White Christmas”, “God Bless America” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz”. HCPAC is calling all musicians!
If you play an instrument, read music and would like to be a part of “I Love a Piano: the Music of Irving Berlin”, HCPAC needs your talent. The Henderson County Performing Arts Center is looking for musicians who would like to volunteer their abilities for a fun musical. The score calls for bass, trumpet, trombone, violin, reeds, drums, guitar, banjo and, of course, piano.
Familiar songs in the show include Blue Skies, God Bless America, White Christmas, Alexander’s Rag Time Band and Puttin’ On the Ritz. The production is fun, upbeat, funny and the band will be center stage for the whole show!
Show dates are October 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21 and 22. Show times are 7:30 p.m. with the exception of October 16 which is a 2 p.m. matinee.
