Walk A Mile Rescheduled for This Saturday

walkThe annual Walk A Mile event has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 6, after being rained out last weekend.

East Texas Crisis Center Director of Outreach Carla Gandy posted: “Ok folks the 3rd Annual Walk A Mile in her shoes has been rescheduled for this Saturday at the Henderson County Courthouse 8:45 am!”

Taking a walk is good for your health — taking a 12-hour walk can be good for everyone’s health.

The annual Henderson County Relay for Life event took place, May 9, Saturday at the Fairpark Complex in Athens.

According to the website, Relay for Life “is the world’s largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer. It unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all.” Continue reading “Henderson County Relay for Life”
