Leadership class visits Henderson County government
The 2015-2016 Leadership Cedar Creek Lake class visited Henderson County for County Government Day this week. A big thanks to Renee Oliver, Court Coordinator, for arranging the afternoon. Thanks also to our presenters: County Attorney Clint Davis, District Attorney Scott McKee, Interim Tax Assessor Collector Peggy Goodall, Deputy County Clerk Susan Bass, County Auditor Ann Marie Lee, and Henderson County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse.

NSDAR celebrates 125th anniversary
This year is the 125th anniversary of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The Sarah Maples Chapter celebrated recently with a birthday cake furnished by the hostesses of the meeting. The NSDAR was founded by four women, Mary S. Lockwood, Ellen Walworth, Mary Deska and Eugenia Washington. More than 930,000 women have joined since the DAR was founded. They became members to honor their heritage as well as make a difference in their communities across the country and the world. CCL Garden Club meeting set
The Cedar Creek Lake Garden Club will meet Thursday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. This meeting will be held at The Library at Cedar Creek Lake in Seven Points.
