Lakeland House Assisted Living in Athens changed owners and a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house were held in celebration on Tuesday, May 5. Guests were greeted by the Trinity Valley Community College Cardettes and all were treated to a fiesta celebration that consisted of Mexican food, cocktails, beverages, and fiesta dancers. The Athens Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) approved economic incentives Tuesday morning to bring San Jose, California-based HVAC Manufacturing, Inc. to Athens.
