TxDOT update for the Week of Feb. 15

TxDOT crews will be performing base repairs on FM 315 between FM 3079 and FM 317 before conducting the same work on FM 3079. Crews will also be placing an overlay on FM 753 from SH 31 W to FM 2494. All work will occur Wednesday through Friday with flaggers providing traffic control.

The plans for permanent repairs to FM 317 in Athens are complete and work is expected to start in April. The roadway remains closed with traffic detoured due to damage sustained during stormy weather conditions last spring. A washout occurred three miles east of SH 31. Repairs should take about two months to complete, weather permitting. This job is being coordinated with the Corp of Engineers and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
