Athens City Council approved AEDC’s incentive package, up to $100,000, for HVAC Manufacturing’s two expansion projects during a meeting last week.

This summer, Siemens, a multibillion-dollar company and global powerhouse, named HVAC Manufacturing their 2017 Supplier of the Year. This is a great achievement for any company. AHS choir shines

Thirteen members of the Athens High School choir earned places in the Texas Music Educators Association Region 21 Honor Choir or All-Region Mixed Choir. City of Athens Management Team donates turkeys

The City of Athens Management Team donated 10 turkeys to the Athens Soup Kitchen on Nov. 14. AHS Outstanding Performer

2017 Athens High School graduate Trevor Baumgartner was selected as an “Outstanding Performer” at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble contest this past May. Only 2 to 3 percent of students earn this distinguished honor out of approximately 100,000 who participate. “This achievement is truly a mark of musical excellence,” wrote State Music Director Dr. Bradley Kent. “Awards of this nature do not come easily.” The announcement was made after the school year ended.
