Pioneer Days press release
Family fun, good food, and holiday shopping is all a part of the Brownsboro Pioneer Days scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14. The event is returning for a second year to celebrate Brownsboro’s rich history. The event will take place on the Brownsboro High and Junior High School properties. Brownsboro is the oldest city in Henderson County and is proud of its heritage. The Brownsboro Chamber of Commerce works hard to spotlight the city’s origins but to also host an event that the community can enjoy.
“Pioneer Days is a way to reflect on our past but also to embrace the residents, businesses and organizations that make Brownsboro what it is today,” says Dusty Wise, member of the Economic Development Corporation.
A variety of activities are set to take place all day long. A full schedule of events is still being finalized. A kick off parade is being planned that will include vintage cars. Arts and Crafts and food vendors will be set up to help kick off your holiday shopping. Vendor applications are still being accepted. Vendor forms can be found on the website: brownsboro.us.
There will be plenty of activities for the kids. Face painting, barrel train rides, a petting zoo, a sky jump, a mechanical bull and much more will be set up. KornPop the clown and the Long Tall Texan will be on hand to take pictures and to entertain the crowd.
An evening concert featuring The Second Chance Band and The Bent Bucket Band will be taking place. Both bands are known for their legendary western gospel sounds. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Brownsboro High school gym.
Be sure to save the date, Nov. 14. Family activities begin at 10 a.m. and run all day until 4 p.m. For ticket, event information or registration forms visit Brownsboro City Hall or www.browsboro.us.
