Former Athens Hornets star and University of Texas wide receiver Kendall Sanders was found not guilty if sexual assault Friday morning.
Austin American-Statesman reporter Ryan Autullo covered the trial and wrote:
Sanders is cleared of all wrongdoing from a June, 2014 incident in a campus dormitory involving a female student at UT. Sanders, a wide receiver for the Longhorns, would’ve been a senior on this year’s team. He has one season of eligibility remaining should he choose to continue his football career.
Today’s verdict is also good news for Montrel Meander, who was also indicted for the same incident.
Remains to be seen if Montrel Meander will still go to trial. My guess is no. DA tried the more winnable case first and lost.

Kendall Sanders says he does not blame Charlie Strong for kicking him off the team. He understands why it happened.

Kendall Sanders tells me "I'd love to go back to UT." Says he has a lot of options; has one year of eligibility but will petition for two.
