Press release
For the third consecutive year, the Weinstein Team is helping to kick off the Trinity Valley Community College football season with a banquet.
This year’s Beef Before the Battle is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the Cain Center and will feature guest speaker DeWayne Owens.
Owens is the founder and president of Maximum Motivation Training Systems. He is a career enhancement specialist, best-selling author, trainer, consultant and nationally sought-after motivational speaker.
The Weinstein Team is partnering with Virtual Communications Specialists President Paul Benson, who is sponsoring Saturday’s season opener, the Battle In The Valley at Bruce Field against Nassau Community College.
Nassau finished last season 10-0 and ranked No. 6 in the nation. The Cardinals finished last season with a 12-0 record and Southwest Junior College Football Conference (SWJCFC) champions. TVCC ended the year ranked No. 2 in the nation.
The banquet is being catered by Danny’s BBQ. There will also be door prizes given away, including a brand new Android tablet and two season tickets to this year’s Cardinal home games.
Beef Before the Battle is free to the public, but the audience is being limited to the two schools plus 150. Come by the Weinstein Law office at 518 East Tyler St. in Athens to pick up a ticket and reserve your seat.
And don’t forget to be a part of the fun on Saturday, Aug. 22, when the action starts with a unique tailgating experience at 2 p.m. directly across Dul Averette Street from Bruce Field. In addition to your typical tailgating festivities, like food and friends, Virtual Communication Specialists is bringing a few special festivities for you to enjoy. These include:
– Four 46” TVs, outfitted with Xbox One consoles and a variety of games, with the ability to play online with one another
– A 65” TV for sitting back and watching SportsCenter or rocking out to Mario Cart on the Wii
– Music
– And much more…
