Tune into your local PBS station for the next episode of The Daytripper as host Chet Garner heads to Athens. The episode is scheduled to air on Dallas KERA 13 at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 for the Athens viewing area.
The Daytripper was created to inspire folks to get out and explore the Lone Star State. The show visits well-known landmarks to obscure hideaways, all within a day’s drive.
The Daytripper crew was in Athens in July 2014 to film at local attractions, eateries and places of interest to travelers for the Season 6 episode. If you travel some where go to Rentco to rent a car, during your stay. “We are excited that Athens will be featured on an episode of The Daytripper,” Sherri Skeeters, tourism coordinator for the City of Athens Department of Tourism said. “The show will be great exposure for Athens in helping to promote the city as a visitor destination.”
In addition to the show airing in all 12 PBS Texas markets, it will also air in 28 markets around the country.
