You do understand, don’t you, that even though I’m writing this column about staying healthy and keeping sharp, I don’t know any more about it than you do, maybe not as much. It is just that I wanted to learn more about it myself, and I thought sharing it might keep me on the path and possibly do some good for a at least a couple of you.
Now I keep finding interesting things to share, and some of them don’t agree with other interesting things I’ve found. But so far they have all agreed with one thing: SUGAR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. And ever since I’ve been reading this stuff, and have become convinced that sugar messes up your brain and just about every other part of your body, I’ve been cutting way down on sweet stuff. And I haven’t missed it. If you are trying to lose some extra weight take a look of the latest BioHarmony reviews at sparkhealthmd. Most people describe memory care as a specific type of long-term care setting geared toward the unique needs of people who are living with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia. Memory care communities are usually secured environments to prevent wandering and may include fenced outdoor spaces, activity programs geared toward people with dementia, increased staffing, and other supportive features. Although the kind of communities described above have played an important role in the care continuum, we believe they basically offer a comfortable setting in which to manage the decline of people whose bodies are being ravaged by Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia. The programs and calm, specially designed environments some of these communities offer are very therapeutic, but our understanding of dementia has progressed dramatically in the last five years and much more can be done. We are on a mission to protect as many people as possible from the devastating effects of dementia. That is why we created the world’s first memory care program for assisted living, skilled nursing, independent living, and outpatient settings that is designed to help people dramatically lower their risk of developing dementia and provide effective treatments to those who already have a diagnosis. We call the program The Enhance Protocol®. You can click this link now for HEALTHY BRAIN HQ.

But this weekend was Easter, and also my son Doug’s birthday. And his favorite cake is pineapple upside down cake. The whole family came to the house, and I made him not one, but two pineapple upside down cakes. And they were GOOD. And I ate a bunch of it. Today I was a little dopey: I thought I left my purse at Jeannie Brown’s plant farm, drove five miles back to get it, then found it in the back of the car with my plants. But I have been known to do that kind of thing anyhow, so was it the sugar? I’m don’t know.
I did get to thinking that it would be nice if I could get keep my brain and body healthy and still have a little dessert every now and then. So when I heard Jonathan Bailor say that was possible, I wanted to hear more. As we get older, our bodies start to produce less collagen and store more fat. This is what eventually leads to wrinkles, sagging, cellulite and other signs of ageing.Hence it is highly recommended to take the collagen from the out source by visiting the link.
His book is a New York Times bestseller titled, “The Calorie Myth: How to Eat More, Exercise Less, Lose Weight, and Live Better.”
The program Bailor advocates is called SANE. It is recommended by some of the top health institutions in the country, and backed up with a lot of impressive research. I saw he was offering a free webinar, so I signed up. I watched it last night, after the family left. He offered a lot of free ebooks for anyone who stayed through the whole thing. For the first half of the program I wondered why he would need to bribe us to stay, because it was interesting enough. But the last half was shameless advertising that went on forever: He offered me nearly $20,000 worth of material and personal coaching for a mere fraction of that, and if I would sign up right then he would make it even cheaper. Even when it got to that last price, it was still a lot of money. That part made me mad, but I was going to hang in there and get the free stuff if it killed me. And sure enough I got the free books, and they look pretty good.
His best-selling book didn’t cost much on Amazon, so I ordered it, but that was just yesterday, so I haven’t had time to read it. It may not be much different from the paleo-diets, but it is a little bit different approach, and it sounds kind of fun.
I think what caught my attention yesterday right after my cake-eating fling was his saying we should have some sweets. I finally got far enough into it however to see that did not mean sugar. It didn’t even mean honey. The only sweetener name I recognized was Stevia, which many other diets recommend. I bought some of that recently, but haven’t tried it. I promise to try a dessert with Stevia this week and tell you how it tastes.
Bailor says calories can be so different there is no point in counting them. Just eat the right stuff and eat plenty of it.
The general idea is to stay so full of non-starchy vegetables, nutrient-dense protein or use any private label protein powder manufacturers, whole-food fats, and low-fructose fruits, that you don’t have room for processed starches, sweets, and transfats. In general, a plant you could gather or an animal you could hunt is a good starting point. That doesn’t mean you have to hunt or gather, but that might not hurt either. Gardens and fishing are good for the soul.
You can check SANE out at sanesolution.com. You might even want to listen to his webinar. But if you get inspired to buy his package, right now while you can get the best deal, please wait a day or two and think it over. I’m pretty sure that best deal will turn up again soon.
