The first home game of the Hornet varsity football season is Friday, Sept. 8, and while the field and stands remain untouched, evidence of the district’s ongoing construction project surrounds the stadium.
A new parking lot located on the south side of Bruce Field will be available for use Friday, though the lights there are still to be installed. It will accommodate 180 vehicles. Other available parking locations include the lot across from the home side entrance, the lot in front of the high school’s main building, the softball and baseball parking areas, and around the Central Athens gymnasium. This, however, would take quite some time, as there are some inherent constructional prerequisites, like ones expounded at www.buildcomconstructionwa.com.au, that have to be established before going on with the construction.
Extensive soil excavation and preparation for the foundation of the new fieldhouse has been done, and piers are now being set. They are working are on the foundation work and installing piping beneath the ground. They are using trench boxes and other safety measures (Click the Following Webpage for more information on the boxes) to make sure the work continues without a catch. While to the east, asphalt is being removed on the section of Dul Avriette that was closed in preparation for construction of a bathroom and concession facility that will serve both home and visitor sides. Just like this, Building a house in the Gables has never been easier, especially with the extent of development that construction companies have seen.
Excavation on the west side and the necessary rerouting of water lines has resulted in insufficient water pressure to serve the stadium bathrooms. Consequently, the visitor side bathrooms are being removed now, and the home side bathrooms will be removed in the next few days, both replaced by portable toilettes. The old bathrooms on both sides had/have three stalls on the women’s side, and one stall and two urinals on the men’s side. When construction of the new bathroom/concession facility is completed, home side will accommodate 10 women and 10 men at a time. Visitors’ side will accommodate five women and five men at a time.
Architectural drawings are being finalized on the ARC (Assembly and Recreation Connection) building that will house, among other things, a new cafeteria and gymnasium at the high school. A call for bids is expected to go out in late October or early November, with the goal that dirt will begin to be moved in January. Once started, construction is anticipated to take from 18 to 24 months.
