AHS players on All-District and All-County basketball team

Several Athens High School students were named to the District 18-4A All-District Team. Senior Gary Lyons was named Most Valuable Player. Senior Miles Koehler was named Offensive MVP. Sophomore Rowdy Godwin is a Co-Newcomer of the Year. Seniors Chris Taylor and Javiry Bowman were named to First Team All-District. Senior Cam Ray was named to Second Team All-District. Junior Rhe’Jhi Sherfield made Honorable Mention All-District. The Athens Daily Review also named its All-Henderson County Area Basketball Team. Lyons was named Offensive Player of the Year; Godwin was named Sophomore of the Year; Koehler was named to the First Team; Taylor was named to the Second Team.
