Athens City Council approved AEDC’s incentive package, up to $100,000, for HVAC Manufacturing’s two expansion projects during a meeting last week.
This summer, Siemens, a multibillion-dollar company and global powerhouse, named HVAC Manufacturing their 2017 Supplier of the Year. This is a great achievement for any company. It probably comes down to the tips the company has given to businesses and households. Such as, How To Know If Your Ducts Need To Be Cleaned, it’s a pretty good read.
The award has opened up opportunities with other divisions of Siemens and allowed HVAC Manufacturing to diversify into other industries outside of heating and air conditioning since relocating to Athens from California last year. This, according to the Sgi Blog, will allow HVAC businesses to expand and open them up to more opportunities.
“HVAC’s expansion would have never come to fruition without the move to Athens,” said John Karamanos, HVAC Manufacturing’s Strategic Accounts and Research and Development Executive.
The two expansion projects include a machine shop and a 4,000-square-foot Innovation Center with Siemens, which will bring in Siemens global customers.
The machine shop will encompass 3,250-square feet in year one with 8,000-square feet planned for year two.
The machine shop will house a fully automated fiber-optic laser, CNC press brake, pneumatic valves, a robotic laser welder, as well as other sophisticated equipment, opening the door for HVAC to vertically integrate and do all sorts of contract metal fabrication including complete UL 508 certified electrical control panels. People will likely need to Visit Website to speak to a good HVAC engineer to fit this into the space.
Contour offers a number of precision CNC turning services for a wide range of industries and applications. Turning processes include cutting, facing, threading, forming, drilling, knurling, and boring. We can work with steel, stainless, brass, bronze, copper, iron, nickel, tin, titanium, Inconel and more. Variables on the operation of CNC machines will vary from one CNC type to a different . CNC machines are available is several differing types . Anything from lathe machines to water jet machines, therefore the mechanics of every different machine are going to be different; however, the fundamentals work primarily for all the various CNC machine types. CNC machine basics should be called benefits. the advantages of a CNC machine are an equivalent for each machine because it is for every company who owns one. Computer aided technology may be a wonderful thing. A CNC machine offers that benefit to its owners. Intervention by the worker is required less, because the machine does all of the work once the software is programmed to the specifications desired. The machine will still run until the method is complete, all completely unmanned. CNC machines operate not only through a computer software program, they’re motion controlled and operate several different axes depending upon the sort of the machine. The CNC lathe machine operates on the X and Y axis unlike the 5 axis machines that are now available on the market. The more axes that the machine operates on, the more delicate and precise the cuts; the more creative you’ll become in your projects, and therefore the more you’ll offer fabrication services. The CNC machines can just about roll in the hay all without human intervention aside from through the utilization of the pc software.
The galvanisation would be carried out before the powder coating in Tulsa.
Combined, the two expansion projects include a capital investment of about $2.5 million and the addition of up to 21 new full-time positions, over the Company’s current base of 35, over a three-year period.
“HVAC Manufacturing is a testament to the success industrial companies can achieve when operating in a lower cost environment,” said Lisa Denton, Executive Director of Athens Economic Development Corporation. “With higher profitability, they are able to reinvest and grow. AEDC is excited to be a part of that growth”
