Services for Mary “Wallace” Leopard, 90, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Upchurch officiating. Private burial will follow at Rome Cemetery.
Mrs. Leopard passed away Nov. 6, 2014 in Tyler.
She was born April 5, 1924 in Athens to Samson Elmer and Dosia Evelyn Hendrix. Mary had been a resident of Athens all of her life growing up in the Oakland Community. She loved to travel and work in the yard. She was a member of West Athens Baptist Church. She loved gatherings with family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always opened her home to everyone.
Survivors include her son Joey Wallace and wife Suzi of Athens; daughters JoAnne Glasgow and husband Jimmy, Sue Shoemaker and husband Bill, Glenda Gunnels and husband Richard, all of Athens; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister Nell Feagins of Bradford, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 P M until service time at the funeral home.
