Funeral services for Shirley Lawson Ledbetter, 79 of Athens, formerly of LaRue are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Fondren officiating.
Burial will follow in New York Cemetery.
Mrs. Ledbetter died Nov. 1, 2014 in Athens.
She was born Oct. 1, 1935 in Temple to the late Andy Marlin and Doris Loretha Thompson Lawson. Shirley resided in the New York community most of her life before moving to Athens in 2010. She attended Athens Public Schools and was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Mrs. Ledbetter and her late husband Boyce formerly owned and operated Ledbetter’s Custom Fertilizer business which was incorporated into Frankston Farm and Ranch Store after its purchase in 1984. They sold the business to family members and retired in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, sisters, Bobbie Buchanan and Betty Godwin.
Survivors include sons Larry Conrad Ledbetter, Bogue, Kansas, Gary Dan Ledbetter, Athens, daughters Lisa Steger and husband Douglas, Poynor, Vickie Elaine Ledbetter, Tyler, sisters Lanell Faulk, Linda Lane both of Athens, Sherry Kirbo, Heath, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Doug Steger, Colton Ledbetter, Brand Musselman, Jon Tiner, Brad Crenshaw and Brad Sifers.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Monday evening.
