Hey guys, The East Texas Crisis Center will be hosting its second annual Walk-A-Mile in her shoes event at the county courthouse Saturday, May 31… which also happens to be the morning of the Old Fiddler’s Reunion.
You know the old saying, “You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.” Well, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes asks men to literally walk one mile in women’s high heeled shoes.
The event is a playful opportunity for men in our community to raise awareness about the serious causes, effects and remedies to sexualized violence.
The event is in May, but the time to sign up is now! You can walk as an individual or have a team of up to six men.
