Police BeatHCSO press release

Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse said a team of his deputies raided a Payne Springs home Saturday and arrested a man with illegal drugs.

Stephen Michael Green was found in possession of the suspected narcotics at the home on Golden Oaks Drive in Payne Springs. He was arrested, taken to the Henderson County Jail, and charged with possession of the suspected controlled substance. He faces up to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.

Led by Henderson County Investigator Brad Beddingfield, the arresting team included Investigators Josh Rickman, Brad Gray, Jessica Halbert, Wick Gabbard and Henderson County Patrol Deputies Sargent Matt Jistel and Deputy Michael Cheseldine.

“These fine law enforcement officers work around the clock, weekdays and weekends getting these folks off the streets,” Hillhouse said.

“I’m not going to tolerate illegal drugs in this County,” the Sheriff said. “With every arrest, we make it that much clearer to drug dealers and users that this is not the place to bring any illegal drugs.”

“The citizens of this County are not going to tolerate it and neither is my office,” he said.
