Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse Tuesday said two of his deputies arrested two people yesterday on Aug. 8 during a drug bust.

Deputies Jered Forrest and Kenny Collard went to the Briarwood Bay Subdivision to investigate a suspicious activity call related to a vehicle.

They found a man, identified as Joshua Epperson, in possession of a suspected controlled substance and a woman, identified as Summer Henson, with drug paraphernalia.

“They can be at home, driving down the road, parked or just about anywhere in Henderson County with drugs, and we are catching them,” Hillhouse said.

“I promised the people of this county that we were going to locate and arrest these folks and that is what my deputies are doing every day.”

Epperson faces up to two years in prison, and a fine not to exceed $10,000, for possession of the controlled substance.

Henson’s possession of drug paraphernalia is a Class C Misdemeanor, which carries a fine not to exceed $500.

“No amount of drugs, big or small, will be tolerated under my watch,” Hillhouse said.
