On Saturday, April 2, 2016 the Malakoff High School UIL One Act Play Team won the Bi-District contest in Arp. Their play, “A Matter of Life and Death,” has been a huge success winning a district championship and a bi-district championship, with multiple students winning individual awards as well. They have advanced to the Area Round contest at Waco Midway on Thursday, April 7. At the bi-district award ceremony, Clayton Mattingly and David Rios Perales were named All-Star Cast. Gabrielle Robinson and Cody Stone were named Honorable Mention Cast. Alexis Lundy was named All-Star Tech Cast. The Director is Jessica Bentley; she is in her second year at Malakoff. They will perform at or around 2:10 on Thursday at Waco Midway. (Courtesy photo)
