Henderson County Sheriff’s Office officials confirmed this morning that the body of a man was found in the Cross Roads area Sunday afternoon.
The body was found either on or near the property of David McCan, 49, who has been missing since June 11.
Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse said the body have not been positively identified at this time, and has been sent to the medical examiner for autopsy.
“We have to go through the steps for identification,” said Hillhouse. “We are waiting on the medical examiner.”
The body was found during a search of McCan’s property by friends and family.
McCan was reported missing by family after he disappeared without any word on June 11. Both his truck and motorcycle were left behind as well.
I’m glad they finally found him. Thanks to family & friends. The sheriffs office wasn’t even looking for him.
