Athens Mayor Jerry Don Vaught read a proclamation for the Mayor’s Reading Club at last week’s regular City Council Meeting. The Henderson County Clint W. Murchison Memorial Library’s newest program, The Mayor’s Reading Club, is part of the Summer Reading Program. For every ten books a child reads this summer, the Mayor’s Reading Club will provide a book as a gift to the child to build upon their success throughout the summer.
