On April 9, Henderson County Narcotics Investigators Kendell Wellman and Kay Langford observed a vehicle traveling on Hwy. 175 in Eustace driven by a subject they know to be Jeremy Vance. Investigators were familiar with Vance from a previous arrest on Feb. 12 in which Vance was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Vance was out on a $10,000 bond from that arrest. Investigators also knew that Vance did not have a valid drivers license.
When Investigators attempted to stop the vehicle, Vance fled in the vehicle. Vance led Investigators toward Goshen Cemetery at high rates of speed. During the pursuit, Vance threw a large quantity of suspected methamphetamines from the vehicle which was later recovered. Vance was finally stopped on Goshen Road and FM 316 and taken into custody by Wellman, Langford, and Investigators Michael Shelley, Wick Gabbard and Kyle Pochobradsky.
Vance was transported to the Henderson County Jail and booked in for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 over 4 grams under 200 grams (1st degree felony), tampering with physical evidence (3rd degree felony) and evading arrests detention with a motor vehicle (3rd degree felony). Vance remains in jail at this time after being arraigned by Justice of the Peace Randy Daniels. Vance’s bonds total $75,000.
