February is a month for showing love. That thought is what has inspired the staff at the Henderson County Library to forgive users’ fines.
“We have been working hard to bring new books, services and opportunities to Henderson County, and we do not want fines to prevent anyone from checking out what we have to offer,” said Library Director Rachel Cox.
The Henderson County Library worked diligently in 2014 to provide new library services to members of the community. From a brand new website featuring an extensive e-book collection and online language learning software to a new outreach service that allows a librarian to share stories at local daycares, HCL has definitely made some impressive changes.
“We want to make every effort to reach out to our community, to play a role in its successes and to support and enrich the lives around us,” Cox said.
For the month of February, stop by the library and use the phrase “I love my library” to have your fines waived. No questions asked.
