On Saturday, Oct. 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the East Texas Arboretum in Athens there will be a Henderson County Veterans Memorial Benefit “Music for the Monument.” There will be music, good food, and a raffle. All money raised goes to the fund for maintenance, insurance, future expansion, and security. There will be Rock-n-Roll selections from the Sharks and others. Admission is free. Bring a lawn chair and join the fun.
