Henderson County Sheriff’s Office press release
On March 15, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Meagan Hogan was dispatched to an Indecency with Child Sexual Contact complaint.
The case was assigned to Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Cayce Hampton for follow up investigation. During the course of her investigation, she requested the assistance of the Henderson County Child Advocacy Center; the Advocacy Center specializes in interviewing children, and is frequently used in assisting law enforcement in criminal investigations.
Investigator Hampton obtained evidence and it was determined probable cause existed to obtain a warrant for the arrest of Phillip Hestily, 64, out of the Seven Points area.
On March 22, Investigator Hampton presented a warrant affidavit to Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Randy Daniel, at which time the judge issued a warrant for the criminal offense of Indecency with Child Sexual Contact, a 2nd Degree Felony, for Hestily. Investigator Hampton, along with Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kyle Pochobradsky, located Hestily and he was taken into custody the same day without incident and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center.
Hestily was arraigned on March 23 by Judge Daniel and a bond was set at $100,000.
