Four Trinity Valley Community College cheerleaders have qualified to participate at the UCA Collegiate Partner Stunts in January. In competition with cheerleaders from two-year and four-year colleges nationwide, Sabrina Garcia and T.J. Ollison placed fifth and first-time competitors Alicia Sicz and Jeremy Seiver placed ninth. The TVCC four were the only junior college competitors placing in the top 10.

“It really is something special to be able to qualify for partner stunts. College cheerleaders, especially here at TVCC, put in a lot of hours. Practice, workouts, supporting our athletic teams and community involvement take up about 20 hours a week from each member of the team,” Coach Khris Franklin said. “In order to create a qualifying video, Sabrina, Alicia, TJ, and Jeremy have to put in an additional 5-10 hours a week on their own time.  And for both couples to qualify Top 10 and one couple making Top 5, it really is a testament to their hard work and commitment.  With the efforts of previous coaches, alumni, my third year athletes, the sophomore class, and the incoming rookie class, I have been blessed to get to work with some of the best cheerleading athletes I’ve seen in my almost twenty years of college cheerleading.”
