Turn’em Barrel Racing Association presents scholarships

Sharon and Howard Calloway of Athens, representing the Turn’em Barrel Racing Association, awarded two individuals the Running for the Future Scholarship Sunday afternoon at the Henderson County Fairpark Complex. Shaelyn Baker of Eustace and Casey Conrad of Frankston were both awarded a $1,000 scholarship. “This is our second annual race and we are very excited to be able to do this,” said Sharon Calloway. “We look forward to next year and going to try to make it bigger and better.” The organization thanked the sponsors, including Henderson County Horseman’s Association, 5 Star Equine, Holder’s Backhoe Service, First State Bank of Athens, Citizens State Bank, Velvin and Weeks Engineering, and 4M Racing.
