Three Incidents in GBC Lead to Drug Arrests

On Monday, August 18, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies Wayne Nutt and Brian Huckabee were attempting to serve a warrant in the Willow Wood addition in Gun Barrel City. Aron Dale Morris of Gun Barrel City was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Assault Family Violence and during the warrant service, Wayne Newton Womack, of Gun Barrel City was found to be in possession of a substance believed to be methamphetarnines. Womack was booked into the Henderson County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.

On Saturday, August 16, at approximately 20:09, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brian Huckabee, along with Deputy Wayne Nutt, initiated a traffic stop on Legendary Lane in Gun Barrel City for a traffic violation. Deputy Huckabee conducted a search of the vehicle and located a small clear bag containing a crystal like substance, believed to be methamphetamines. James Mitchell, of Gun Barrel City, who was the front seat passenger. was found to be in possession of the substance. Mitchell was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1<1Gram.

On August 14, HCSO Deputy Beddingfield initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Harbor Point Road in Gun Barrel City for a traffic violation. While speaking with the operator of the vehicle, Deputy Beddingfield identified Brittany Miles as a passenger in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle Deputy Beddingfield located a substance believed to be methamphetamines in Brittany’s possession. Brittany was taken into custody and transported to the Henderson County Jail where she was booked in for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1
