TVCC wrecks College of DuPage, 73-14

By Michael V. Hannigan

The roll continues for the Trinity Valley Community College Cardinals.

The TVCC football team has dismantled everyone its faced this year and Saturday it was the College of DuPage Chaparrals’ turn. The Cards improved their record to 6-0 with a 73-14 beat down of the Chapparrals.

The much-anticipated Battle in the Valley was barely a skirmish even with the Cardinals committing three early turnovers. So instead of writing a long roundup of the scoring, I figured I let you watch it yourselves.

Next up for the Cardinals is Blinn. TVCC will be on the road in Brenham next Saturday to take on the Buccaneers. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.

Starting college can be stressful – so let Trinity Valley Community College give you a head start on the road to success.

Students will be able to register for fall semester classes and learn important facts about the college, as well as the many activities and services TVCC offers. If participants have pre-registered for fall classes, they will have the opportunity to meet with a college success coach as well as with other incoming freshman.

Families are encouraged to attend orientation. Sessions will focus on money management, Cardinal Connection, campus security and tips for helping students be successful. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet with local dignitaries from Athens, ask questions, learn more about the local area and take a tour of the campus.
