Sheriff’s Office Arrests Three For Methamphetamine

Henderson County Narcotic Officers has had an ongoing investigation of narcotic trafficking in the Silver Shores subdivision of eastern Henderson County.

On Oct. 1, Henderson County Narcotic officer, Kay Langford received probable cause for a search warrant on Carl Brent Morse and his residence in Silver Shores. Judge Milton Adams issued a search warrant for this residence.

Henderson County Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse, Captain Towers, Lt Severen and officers from the Henderson County executed the search warrant.

Upon executing of the search warrant Carl Brent Morse and his girlfriend, Tara Carpenter, were found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine. Upon the executing of the search warrant it was determined that Carl Brent Morse and Tara Carpenter had also attempted to hide, and or destroy the suspected methamphetamine from officers.

Carl Brent Morse and Tara Carpenter were arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Delivery Controlled Substance PG 1 over 4 grams under 200 which is a first degree felony and Tampering with Physical evidence which is a third degree felony.

Michael Shane House was also located at the residence and was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 under 1 gram which is a state jail felony.

As of the press release, all suspects are currently in Henderson County Jail.
