Police continue looking for Chandler shooting suspect

Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse released this photo of Chandler shooting suspect Rudolfo “Rudy” Leon this afternoon.

According to earlier reports from KLTV, a man barricaded himself in a Chandler residence in the early morning hours after shooting at a Chandler police officer. The police officer’s car was hit, but the officer was not hurt.

KLTV reported: “The Henderson County TAC team entered the home around 7 a.m., after a multi-hour standoff at the residence. When officials entered the home, they were unable to find the suspect.”

The shooter, suspected to be Leon, is currently at large.

Hillhouse said the crime scene has been turned over to the Chandler Police Department, the Texas Rangers and the Henderson County District Attorney’s Office.
