Obituary: Tyler Glenn Nix

Tyler Glenn Nix of Murchison passed away to his heavenly home on October 12, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on November 9, 1999 in Athens, Texas to Tracy and Nicole Ballow Nix.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Taylor Nix; Grandparents, Leon and Pam Ballow; His uncle, Troy Ballow.

He is survived by his Mom and Dad, Tracy and Nicole; His sister, Tiffany Nix and husband Marco of Murchison; two nephews, Bentley Smith and Braylon Conche of Murchison; his grandparents, Sherrie Whisenhunt of Gun Barrel City, Billy and Carmella Nix of Gilmer, his aunts, Kellie Ballow of Murchison and Kristy Nix of Gun Barrel City; Uncles, Jeff Ballow of Murchison, Danny Ballow of Athens and B.J. Nix and wife Terry of Longview, Daniel Nix of Gilmer; his girlfriend, Avery Harris of Brownsboro; brother-in-law, Chris Smith of Murchison; numerous cousins and many special friends.

Tyler was a great son, brother, cousin, boyfriend and friend. He loved fishing and hunting and anything outdoors. Tyler tried to out fish everyone, fishing was his passion. He loved his two nephews so much. He would give Bentley a hug and say to Braylon, “hey nephew” everyday when he would get in from work. He spent most of his time with his girlfriend, Avery. Tyler loved everyone and never had a bad thing to say about anything or anybody. He made everyone smile. Tyler will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Murchison.

The family invites you to a visitation for Tyler on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral home in Athens. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Murchison with Daniel Stone officiating. Burial to follow at Red Hill Cemetery.
