Obituary: Terry Lynn Phillips

0Services for Terry Lynn Phillips, 57, of Malakoff are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Schaver officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Phillips passed away April 21, 2015 in Tyler.

He was born August 19, 1957 in Athens to Howard Sterling and Patsy Sam Hettich Phillips. Terry had been a resident of Henderson County all his life. He was a Baptist by faith. He loved working on his farm, being outdoors and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Terry enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandmother Martha Hettich.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Laura Phillips of Malakoff, daughter Amber Johnson and husband Josh of Brownsboro, son Jeremiah Phillips and wife Janieann of Gun Barrel, mother Patsy Galbraith of Athens, brother Howard Wendell Phillips and wife Betty of Lake Jackson, sister Gail Sanford and husband Frank of Thornton, grandchildren Kristen Phillips, Dominic Hayes, Peyton Phillips, Savannah Phillips and many “ adopted “ children.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Phillips, Jimmy Lovelady, Mark Floyd.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
