Obituary: Steven Allen Buie

Steven Allen Buie was born on January 14, 1949 to Mother, Clover Davis (Rutherford) Buie and father Aaron Watts Buie of Corsicana, Texas.

Steve, as a teenager, joined the Navy. He had been drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War, but decided that the Navy was a better path. He became an E-4, and learned a trade of electronics. Which at the time he had no idea that this decision was going to change the path in life. He had a successful business “Steve’s TV and VCR “, in Athens and Whitehouse, Texas. He was a real estate broker, and owned over 400 properties in Corsicana. He also was Certified Novell Network engineer, which was the next movement before Microsoft came along! He was certified by Sharp, the Electronics manufacturer, as number 2 technician in electronic repair in the Nation. He was the most charismatic College Professor and High School teacher ever known, and was loved by all of his students, his daughter Stephanie being one of them. As a missionary he changed many lives in Jamaica. Bringing the people he touched and taught into the light of the future. He was “Jack of all Trades”, and could basically fix almost anything and often did, with the Buie tool box; this consisted of a couple “staple items” of Duct Tape and wire coat hangers.
