Obituary: Sandra Pauline Skinner McDonald Tregre

Sandra Pauline Skinner McDonald Tregre, 77, of Gun Barrel City was born on March 1, 1936 to the home of Harry and Beartha Skinner and passed away in on May 27, 2013 in Kaufman.

Sandra was a nun for the order of Mt. Saint Scholastica and taught art for over 20 years. She was a skilled sculptress and was commissioned to do a statue of Hank Williams and Lefty Frizell which is in Corsicana.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband C. D. “Doug” McDonald; second husband Gene Tregre; and sister Gil Thompson.

She is survived by stepson Doug McDonald, Jr.; godson Collin McDonald; brother Ed Skinner and brother-in-law Jim Thompson and other family members and many friends.

Rosary services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Moorhead Epps Funeral Home in Gun Barrel City. Mass Of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City.
